► My 21st Birthday Bash Blogged a Year Later
March 7, 2016 @ 11:14 PM
So I'm gonna turn 22 soon. And I just gotta know (thanks to Facebook) that I had my advance 21st Birthday Bash exactly a year ago on this date. So since I didn't blog about it then, I'mma do it now. Wow, procrastination level extreme right here. Blogging about it only a year later? Damn Azryn.

Anyway, I was so excited to have this birthday party. I did almost everything on my own. Except for cooking and setting up of the things itself. I did the planning, to getting the stuffs ready, to DIY some decorations and more. Since everyone else was busy with work and I had some spare time, so why not just do it right? Hehe.

I didn't really had a theme. I wanted to have one though, but then again I doubt anyone would stick to it so I just lose that idea. For location wise, I really had troubling settling on one. I initially wanted to just do it at home. Then I thought of having a chalet. Then I wanted it to be done at home again instead. Then tup tup I had it at the neighbourhood BBQ pit. Haha, indecisive me.

Though its a very simple party, I'm truly blessed and thankful that they made time to come down to my humble party. I truly appreciate it. To be honest, the reason I had it in the first place was to gather with the people I care and just eat and spend time together. Though I did receive presents, but that's just a bonus. Really their presence means most. So thank you all :)
► No Longer A Student
March 2, 2016 @ 10:26 PM
I've been wanting to update this dusty place for so long, but every time I thought of it, I didn't seem to find time to actually whip out my laptop and sit down and start blogging. Anyway, I doubt anyone reads it so its aight I guess. But for memories sake, I will! Hehe.

Issit too late now (to say sorry) to wish a Happy New Year?! Haha, I guess. It's already the third month of 2016 man. How fast time flies. March, my favourite month of the year. Yknow usually people say that cause it's their birthday month, as for me...... yeah I'm one of them heh! Also, 2016 is the year where I'll be graduating. Graduating from Poly. I'll be getting my diploma, oh my goodness. I'm no longer a student! I'm no longer a child! Its time for me to grow up, and be an adult. The time is finally here guys, and I'm not gonna lie its actually quite scary. But hey, time stops for no one so I guess I just gotta live with it.

For memories sake once again, I wanna talk about my internship. So I was being sent to a local company for internship, who does some media things that I was also involved in when I was doing my specialisation in my third year. I was attached for 3 months. That was my first time experiencing a real working life. Like, a legit one. Definitely different than student life. You're basically on your own. That aside, I did learn a few things while I was working there, or in general.
  • Lunch - Girl, you seriously can burn a huge hole if you keep spending on food for your lunch. Which is why sometimes I bring my own lunch from home. Not only saves some moolahs, but also doesn't tire you from walking in and out of the office. (Because sometimes I is lazy too)
  • Talk/Communicate - I think this is the important thing. Not sure of what to do? Ask. Not sure of how to do? Ask. Working life is different than school life, where you're being fed with information and knowledge by your teachers and lecturers. In working life you gotta be the one going around desperate for knowledge. So, I guess the more you ask the more it shows what kinda person you are. Which is something good, if you ask me.
  • Make use of your long hours of traveling time to work - If you don't know, the place that I was attached to was totally at the opposite end of where I stay. So to be honest, I did worry about what I'm gonna do when I travel to work. Indeed, I did sync music to my phone but then again, it can be quite a bore to be listening the same ones every day. And I don't have that many songs too (life of a 16GB iPhone user). So, most of the times I didn't listen to songs when I travel back home. I take that time to relax, enjoy the view from the MRT window, look at people, look at how they dress, their attitude, think about the future, think about the past, think about people and more. Also sometimes I download and converted some ceramahs off youtube and listen to it too. You're gaining some knowledge at the same time kan, which is always good!
  • Act busy - Don't get me wrong. I love it when there isn't much work for me to complete and I can just relax and not get too stressed up. But sometimes, it is very tiring and difficult to act like you're busy when you're not. Especially when the boss is around or your colleagues keep walking behind you. You can't be showing them the video you're watching on youtube right? You gotta switch between the 3970874 tabs your have on your browser to act like you're doing some research or jotting down some ideas for future projects. Which is why (sometimes) I prefer to be busy with actual tasks/projects than to act busy hehe.
Ok that's a few I could think of currently. Didn't expect to write some long ones but hey, in 2-3 years time I can look back and read about my internship experience right. All in all, it was fun working there. Though it can be quite stressful but at the same time, its a very proud moment when you see your work being projected on an actual building for a real life project. Like, wow. Definitely miss school, but the feeling has lessen. Can't wait for graduation day so I get to meet everyone :)
► Handlettering / Intern / Nur Anna Sofea
December 20, 2015 @ 5:01 PM
It's been awhile since I'm back on the handlettering track. Been starting since the last week of FYP till now. I find myself thinking about the different quotes that I can write on. And also search for the different styles and fonts for me to try. I must say, it does look simple and easy when I first started, but oh my goodness I was wrong. I think its easier to imagine than to actually do it, ofcourse. And also not having the correct pens can affect how you want the final product to look like. So yeah, I need Tombow pens! Sad that they don't have much variety here in Singapore :( I'm also starting to incorporate watercolors into my design (I still find it weird to call it a design idk) hehe. And alsooo, this little hobby of mine does suck my money haha. Why do I always have to like something that will take money off of me?! Hehe, but its okay cause I like it. But ofcourse I still have to improve like, alot. I hope this little hobby of mine can grow into something bigger in the future. I dont know what, but hopefully ;)

To be honest, I like it when people ask me how I am or how's my internship (eventhough I don't feel like telling them how it actually was hais). It feels good to know that they wanna know la, you know I'm sentimental abit. Anyway, I'm done with week 3 now which means week 4 is starting tomorrow which means I'm left with 8 more weeks which means its ending soon yay! Haha, and also, thanks to my girls for keeping each other company in whatsapp because only five of us knows how we feel about this internship thingy hehe. Now work is a little chill, but I ain't looking forward to the next few weeks cause we're gonna start on a new project which means busy busy busy. But it's alright, enjoy while it lasts :)

Besides being busy with all that, I still gotta make time for these awesome people. I must say its very very VERY difficult to meet them eversince we're all adults now *ahem* but hey, we do still meet up when we can! It may not be with everyone, which is sad, but hey. All is well. Definitely the group of friends that I still cherish forever. Macam tak percaya dah almost 9 years we've known each other haha. Dulu semua kental time Sec 1. Hais sekarang semua dah besar.

Also! My sister safely delivered my third niece last Wednesday, Alhamdulillah! Our family whatsapp group have never been so busy hehehe. We were all so excited to welcome the new baby that we don't feel like doing anything and just wait for updates, literally haha.
