► Gaza, We Hear You
November 21, 2012 @ 11:35 PM
I guess you all know what's going on in Gaza, and I hope you're not tired of hearing about it. You shouldn't. You should continue praying for our brothers and sisters because they need us to help them. They have no one else except Allah. InsyaAllah with the power of our doas, help will come to them. Amin. It really saddens me to see what happened there, and the worse part is its happening everyday since first Muharram. Ya Allah, we know you hear us.

On a personal note, lately I've been thinking about death. Actually this happens all the time for the past few months. Its sort of like a norm to me. It is a good thing though cause it motivates me to do good deeds and make me want to be closer to Allah. Alhamdulillah. InsyaAllah all of it will be accepted by Allah, Amin. I may not be somebody but I just want to advice something to my brothers and sisters. Its never too late to work on being a better person in Allah's eyes. Even if you're starting from zero. As long as you keep building it and not give up. I'm working on it myself, and Alhamdulillah Allah is helping me everyday. Just a few reminder,

  • don't forget to be thankful, say "Alhamdulillah" even at the smallest things like you managed to catch a glass from falling to the ground. And what more when Allah rewards you with something you like. Trust me, you'll feel Allah's love for you and that is something you just can't express with words. :')
  • fight your nafsu. I agree, this is sometimes a hard thing to do but whenever you think nafsu is winning, thanks about Allah and the reward you'll get if you actually do it. It will actually motivate you to ignore the nafsu and actually do it. It works on me, but I have to admit that sometimes nafsu won. That, I am not proud of because then I'll regret and that will be too late.
  • always have Allah in your mind and heart. It helps alot, trust me.
  • to me remembering the rewards that Allah will give you when you do something motivates me very much to do it. C'mon admit it, we always want to be rewarded when doing something. And this is Allah who's giving us, why not do it?
These are a few reminder I could think of. I'm not a professional, I'm just taking and sharing this based on my experience. You can just take it, or just let it be. I don't mind.

ps: If you want to help the people in Gaza and donate, you can check this out. http://www.facebook.com/aqsa.syarif (Malaysian organisation)
or you can contact http://www.facebook.com/syaffsyafinah (Singapore). Its easier for Singaporeans though cause they collect by bank transfer. And they'll give it to Aqsa Syarif. May Allah bless all of your kindness. Amin.

Peace be upon you :)
