► My Babysitting Experience
April 27, 2014 @ 3:38 PM
Well I believe there are a few things which I learned from babysitting the nieces and nephews during my school holidays. So, I decided to just blog about it, and also because just to keep this place updated heh!Taking care of these kiddos was actually fun. Being tired if the obvious but at the same time you get to spend time with them. You get to make them laugh, you get to watch them sleep, you get to feed them and more! I still remember a few years ago Lala (first niece) slept on my lap for the first time, and I literally felt accomplished and just, "Aww." Yknow how the first of something is precious. Yeah, something simple like that made me feel happy. And watch them sleep and really looking and their features, ugh so cute! My favourite part of this whole experience is feeding and spending time with them/making them laugh. When you prepare the food and you watch their excited face looking at the plate you're holding. Haha, i dont know if this is weird but they really look cute when they're doing that. And watching them eat, haiya so heart warming la. And ofcourse playing around with them, and look at their smiley and silly faces they sometimes make (Madyna is a pro at that obviously). From this experience, I learned that it requires alot alot aloot of patience. Patience when they cry for no reason, patience when they throws a tantrum, patience when they dont listen, patience when they just dont feel like being in a good mood. Sacrifices, this especially. You have to sacrifice your 'I feel tired' attitude, you have to sacrifice your food (because they'll surely ask for some then take all of it haha), you have to sacrifice your sleep, basically you will have to sacrifice alot of things. You might not like it but I'm sure it'll make you a better person, example thinking about others instead of yourself. Yup! Communication. One can seriously have a lose bond with their child if you dont communicate. There was once when I just got back from meeting my friends and Madyna wasn't asleep. When she heard my coming in, she came running and greeted me with a hug and shouted, "Busuuu!" So heart warming when you're being greeted that way right! Yessss, hais how to not love them you tell me? There's actually alot but I cant think of them now. I'm so blessed to be given this opportunity to experience something that not everyone my age get to experience. A little bit of motherhood experience for me somehow? Everything happens for a reason and Allah knows best ;) |
